You should stay long enough for the wound to heal. Then, once the healing process has ended or in final stages, spend some a few days relaxing in the travel destination because after all, you are in a tropical paradise. Proper planning will allow you to come back home feeling refreshed and fully recovered.

Recovery time varies widely, some heal quicker than others, particularly if you are engaged in wellness activities at least 2 months prior to surgery. A healthy diet and exercise regime can help your body bounce back much faster post surgery.
